Is your firm struggling to make meaningful, lasting connections with decision makers? Smart sales people know that helping a foreign government craft meaningful Letters of Request (LORs) result in better outcomes for everyone involved. LORs are documents generated by a potential purchasing government and submitted to the United States Government. LORs can be either a request for the purchase of defense articles or services, or it can request rough-estimate Price and Availability (P&A) data to help a government decide whether or not to pursue a purchase further. Additionally, LORs can be used by a foreign government to request enhanced data and presentations from the Unites States that otherwise would not be authorized for release by the vendor, potentially resulting in a sale that would not have otherwise happened. LOR’s can be submitted through formal correspondence, as a request for proposal (RFP’s), or via meeting minutes, e-mail, letters, or messages.
